About Tumbleweed
Headquartered in Garden City, Idaho near the Boise River Greenbelt, Tumbleweed Bicycle Co. is a growing company with a small, dedicated team and a singular vision: to create the best purpose-built mountain touring bikes on the market.
We’ve been painstakingly designing and testing Tumbleweed bikes since 2014, but our shared passion for bikepacking and mountain bike touring goes back a lot further. Our decades of experience riding in the most remote areas of the world and turning wrenches as career bike mechanics have fueled our mission to keep our bikes tough, capable, and rider-serviceable, and to never compromise function and reliability to follow trends.
We’re a small but growing crew, and everyone in the shop has the opportunity to steer our company by pitching in, staying creative, and having fun.
About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on storyteller who can bring our products and community to life on camera and keep the business running smoothly behind the scenes. This role has a dual focus: roughly 60% content production and 40% operations support. It's a good fit for someone with a producer's instincts who likes variety, takes ownership, and wants to see their work tied directly to a growing brand.
You'll work closely with company leadership and our marketing partners at Fisk Brand & Copy to plan, shoot, and deliver content, and you'll be a key part of getting orders out the door and keeping customers happy.
What You'll Do
Content Production
- Plan, shoot, and edit video content for YouTube and social channels, including product features, how-tos, behind-the-scenes, rider and customer stories, and event coverage
- Help shape video strategy: recommend formats, series ideas, and a sustainable production calendar based on what's performing
- Shoot product photography for the e-commerce site, including clean catalog shots and lifestyle images
- Shoot photos of each bike build for our social media and website content library
- Support social media content creation and scheduling in coordination with our marketing team
- Manage and organize the content library (footage, photos, and brand assets) so it's easy to find and reuse
- Coordinate shoots, including talent, locations, gear, and scheduling
Operations Support
- Make routine website updates, such as product listings, photos, descriptions, and inventory status
- Help fulfill customer orders: picking, packing, and shipping
- Receive incoming shipments and help track and manage inventory
- Assist with customer communication and general inquiries as needed
- Pitch in on other day-to-day operational needs as the business grows
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in video production, preferably as a producer, shooter, or editor
- Proficiency with camera equipment and editing software (Premiere Pro / Final Cut / DaVinci Resolve)
- Comfort with product and lifestyle photography
- Familiarity with YouTube and social platforms and an understanding of what makes content perform on each
- Strong organizational skills and proactivity, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and switch between creative and operational work
- Clear, friendly communication skills, with customers and teammates alike
- A self-starter mindset and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done
Nice to Have
- Experience with Shopify and basic website updates
- Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools
- Interest in or knowledge of cycling and bikepacking
- Experience with inventory or fulfillment systems
Compensation & Benefits
- $50,000-$55,000, commensurate with experience, plus performance bonus
- 3 weeks PTO, plus 6 federal holidays
- $300/monthly stipend for health care
- Employer sponsored 401k program, with employer match for employee contributions up to 3% of your salary
- Generous employee discounts on Tumbleweed bikes and accessories
- Adventure Benefit to support a bicycle tour is available to all full-time employees after two years of continuous employment. Benefit is available once every two years. Benefit includes $500 cash stipend and up to 100,000 airline miles for round trip travel.
