Our titanium framesets use custom multi-butted, cold-formed oversized 3Al-2.5V tubing paired with a chromoly steel fork. The result is a frame that's approximately two pounds lighter than its steel counterpart, with the corrosion resistance and fatigue life that make titanium a true forever material. Same geometry, same rack and fender mounts, same ride-anywhere capability.
We've been riding these frames in production and prototype form for several years now, and it's the bike we find ourselves reaching for more than any other for both loaded touring and swoopy trail riding. If you appreciate the lighter weight, corrosion resistance, and dreamy ride quality that titanium offers, then the titanium version of your favorite Tumbleweed is a great option.

Titanium Prospector
Our world-class expedition touring bike, designed around the 14-speed Rohloff internally geared drivetrain. Suspension-corrected, with an eccentric bottom bracket and tremendous mud clearance. Tested on rugged, fully loaded expeditions across the globe.

Titanium Stargazer
Our versatile drop bar mountain touring bike with an upright, confidence-inspiring riding position. A direct descendant of the Prospector with a shorter reach for drop bars and a lighter overall package. At home on singletrack, gravel, or a fully loaded bikepacking trip.

Titanium Sunliner
Our newest model combines the Prospector's geometry and generous tire clearance with the Stargazer's high-end tubeset—optimized for flat bars. A massive front triangle for extra framebag volume, and all the rack mounts you need for any adventure.

How Deposits Work
We order titanium frames in occasional, very limited production runs. A deposit guarantees a frame with your name on it, in your size.
$500 non-refundable deposit to lock in your size and model preference.
If you decide not to go with a Ti frame, your deposit converts to store credit—good toward any Tumbleweed product.
Ti framesets come with a chromoly steel fork and share the same geometry and specs as their steel counterparts, at approximately two pounds less frame weight.
