The Big Dipper is our newest handlebar, and it’s been a long time coming. We've ridden countless drop bars off-road on many different bikes, and the design for the Big Dipper comes from all the things we wanted from the other bars we’ve tried. It’s wide with a gentle back sweep, a short reach and shallow drop. It’s comfortable in a variety of riding positions, we recommend setting this bar up level with your saddle or higher for maximum touring enjoyment. We have tested the Big Dipper for off-road use (ISO 4210 mountain bike strength/fatigue testing), so it’s strong and light for its width.
If you’re swapping this bar from a narrower one you may need to shorten your stem length by 1-2cm.
