Our newest model, the Sunliner, combines the Prospector's geometry and generous tire clearance with the Stargazer's high-end tubeset—all optimized for flat bars. A massive front triangle for extra framebag volume, and all the rack mounts you need for any adventure.
About the Titanium Sunliner
Our titanium frame sets use custom multi-butted, cold-formed oversized 3Al-2.5V tubing paired with a chromoly steel fork. The result is a frame that's approximately two pounds lighter than its steel counterpart, with the corrosion resistance and fatigue life that make titanium a true forever material. Same geometry, same rack and fender mounts, same ride-anywhere capability.
We've been riding these frames in production and prototype form for several years now, and it's the bike we find ourselves reaching for more than any other for both loaded touring and swoopy trail riding. If you appreciate the lighter weight, corrosion resistance, and dreamy ride quality that titanium offers, then the titanium version of your favorite Tumbleweed is a great option.
We order titanium frames in occasional, very limited production runs.
Geometry & Specs
Geometry is identical to steel Sunliner (with UDH) signature build with Eagle 90. As always, complete builds are customizable.
- 3Al-2.5V multi butted titanium tubing, ovalized top tube and down tube
- Frameset includes titanium frame with steel fork, seat clamp, front and rear thru axles
- Ti frame saves approximately 2lbs over the steel frame
- Brushed bare titanium finish with dark midnight logos and a matching dark midnight steel fork (same fork that comes with the steel frameset)
- 29x3.0” or 27.5x3.0” tire clearance with machined titanium chainstay yoke
- 31.6mm seatpost (compatible with internally routed dropper posts)
- 44mm headtube for ZS44 upper headset cups and EC44 lower cups, 30mm crown race with stock fork
- Threaded bosses for full size racks and fenders front and rear, three sets of bottle bosses on main triangle, triple bottle bosses on each fork leg
- 148x12mm frame spacing and 110x15mm fork spacing
- 160/180mm flat mount disc brakes front and rear
- 1x drivetrain specific frame, 38t max chainring with 55mm chainline

The Sunliner is optimized for a flat bar. We do not recommend putting bars onto our frames that do not account for the frame geometry, which in each case is optimized for a specific type of bar. If you prefer a drop bar, we recommend our Stargazer model.
We build complete bikes in the order that the build specs are finalized. Our standard build with the parts list as shown is $3,975 USD. We use this as a starting point for your build, and since we custom assemble each bike from the frame up, including hand-building all of our wheels, there is a wide range of changes you can make to our standard spec.
Once you place your order, we put your name on the frame/fork and reach out to start confirming the final spec for your bike. Once we have finalized the build spec, we send over an invoice for the final balance due if there are any upgrades from the standard spec.
Once the final invoice is paid, your build sheet goes into our build queue, and we begin ordering any necessary parts for your bike. Our goal is to have your bike completed and ready to ship within 4-6 weeks from the time you pay your final invoice. However, there can sometimes be unforeseen delays if a component is out of stock from the manufacturer, etc.
We build your wheels, completely assemble your bike, test ride it multiple times, and double-check all adjustments before packing it for shipment. When you receive your bike, we recommend taking it to a professional mechanic for reassembly. It will be very straightforward for a shop to assemble.
